I believe we understand people more fully when we look beyond what they do and become curious about what they experience.
A child's distress is more than a behavior to manage.
A parent's overwhelm is more than a coping skill to improve.
A neurodivergent adult's exhaustion may reflect years of adapting to expectations that never quite fit.
I can offer space to understand these experiences with compassion, without reducing a person to a diagnosis, a difficult moment, or a list of things to change.

My approach is deeply relational, person-centered, anti-oppressive, and neurodiversity-affirming.
I work collaboratively, and consider each person's values, relationships, sensory and autonomy needs, developmental experiences, and strengths.
Depending on the person and their goals, our work may draw on nervous-system-aware strategies, bottom-up approaches, child-centered play therapy-informed interventions, and EMDR when appropriate.
Sessions could be held in the home, in vivo caregiver coaching within the community, walk-and-talk in nature, or virtually.
I believe in practical support, meaningful choice, repair after hard moments, and the possibility of humor even when life is messy.
I also believe that sustainable change is not always about doing more. Sometimes it means changing an expectation, asking for support, honoring a limit, or finding a different way to meet a need.
Bottom-Up and Person-Centered Therapy
A collaborative, client-led approach that prioritizes individual autonomy, lived experience, and self-directed growth while integrating somatic awareness, sensory processing, and nervous system regulation to support emotional well-being.
EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a trauma-focused approach that can help process distressing experiences and reduce their emotional impact. I am EMDR-trained and this intervention can be paced with attention to safety and readiness.
Polyvagal-Informed Approach
We'll apply autonomic nervous system theory to explore physiological responses to stress, cues of safety, and social engagement, supporting nervous system awareness and regulation.
PDA-Affirming
Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) is also known as Pervasive Drive for Autonomy. Support is provided in ways that respect the needs for autonomy, regulation, and lowering demands to participate in life
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
We'll make room for difficult thoughts and feelings while taking steps toward a life aligned with your values.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy
We'll build skills in emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness to navigate intense emotions and challenging situations.
Caregiver Support
Caregiving can be overwhelming. I offer support for caregiver burnout, stress, and navigating services. Together, we can explore practical strategies, connect with resources, and coordinate care. My approach is flexible and supportive, helping you navigate challenges, care for yourself, and meet your family’s needs.
Child-Centered Play Therapy (Informed)
Uses developmentally responsive, play-based approaches to support a child's trauma healing, emotional expression, and self-regulation. Parent collab to strengthen co-regulation and caregiver-child connection.
DIR®/Floortime® (Informed)
We'll draw on developmental, individual-difference, and relationship-based (DIR) principles to support emotional development, communication, and connection while honoring each person's unique sensory and developmental profile.
